Underwriting is essential to running our stations’ as we are the smallest community owned radio media in the country!  There are no ‘automatic’ state funds nor ‘financial security of a major university or other entity.  Program sponsorships are available at many levels of support giving, allowing for most all marketing budgets to find a niche for public broadcasting.

UNDERWRITING POLICYWith public owned radio, aired acknowledgements sound different than those of commercial media advertising.  Your credit is live, is approximately 12-14 seconds in length and serves one purpose:  To identify you and your business as supporters of NPR and member stations.  The copy is written for maximum impact on the audience while providing immediate, enhanced image recognition.  KEDT & KVRT FM follow FCC legal guidelines regarding the use of value descriptive and qualitative terms on commercial free stations.
