EDUCATION
Professional
Development for Texas Teachers--The Texas
Computer Education Association has teamed up with the Public Broadcasting
Service TeacherLine of Texas to bring teachers 90 standards-approved online
courses at a discounted rate. PBS
stations across Texas are working to bring comprehensive, online
professional development to Texas educators through facilitated courses,
exemplary resources, and a supportive online learning community.
Find
your way to PBS Campus if you have some interest in college level
courses. Whether that interest includes taking a course for credit
toward a degree, improving your skills to get that promotion at
work, or simply exploring a subject you want to know more about, PBS
Campus is the right place to start. PBS Campus is a joint
effort by PBS, local public television stations, and colleges
nationwide. PBS provides the course materials - whether television
programs or online lessons - and the colleges provide the
instructors, register the students, and award the credit. You don't
actually take a course from PBS; instead, PBS Campus is simply where
you find out about the courses you can take and the colleges where
you can register for these courses.
