- OUTSTANDING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING
from
9:30 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. each school day; which teachers can use to impart
information, augment lessons, and enhance
curriculum.
- COPYRIGHTS for member school districts to record educational
programming off the air for use in the classroom when it best fits into the
curriculum.
- A LENDING LIBRARY of Educational Programs
that teachers can request for a two week period to preview or use with
students.

- A DUPLICATING SERVICE of Educational
Programs not captured off the air to be used at times most convenient for
teachers and students.
- AN EDUCATIONAL TELEVISION GUIDE for
each teacher and administrator. This guide provides a description of each
series, lists the programs in that series, indicates grade level,
and
broadcast dates and times. The guide includes a subject index that lists
topics and programs pertaining to those topics facilitating quick location
of pertinent material.
- SERVICES-KEDT's Educational Services Consultant is
available for presentations, workshops using educational
programs interactively, Internet workshops for school faculties, and assistance in locating programs to meet their
educational needs. (There is no additional fee for this service!)
- Ready To Learn Program is a new
intergenerational approach to engaging children and their families in
using the
best television has to offer in an interactive way to prepare children for
formal schooling. Station sponsored
workshops show parents and caregivers how to channel preschoolers' substantial
television viewing into positive learning experiences by using the simple but
effective "View-Read-Do" technique.

- A MONTHLY NEWSLETTER that
alerts teachers to primetime programs, new additions to
KEDT's website, and updated
information on programs and services all of interest
to educators.
- PROGRAMS from the
Witte Museum in San Antonio, the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and the
Veterinary School at Texas A&M College Station.

- GREAT IDEAS for
each month provide teachers with links to sites that are timely and event
oriented.
- AN 800 NUMBER to call for information

- A WEBSITE for teachers
to be able to link to different pages with search engines, lesson plans,
subject areas, and other creative ideas with just a "click. This
website is set-up specifically for teachers and students to be able to find
the information they need with the least amount of effort. This is a
valuable resource that will save time and energy to both the novice and
experienced internet user.
- TOURS of
KEDT's
television and radio station for educational groups.
- Member districts INFLUENCE which programs will be added to the
educational day.
